Polydextrose is a polysaccharide obtained from glucose by a process called polymerisation. It is considered a non-soluble fibre, as the body does not have the enzymes to digest it.
As it is a source of fibre, and increases the volume of food, it increases the satiety index. Polydextrose acts as a thickener, increasing the volume and improving the texture of preparations. It is also very low in calories, providing 21kcal per 10 grams.
Take 10g grams (1 scoop per day).
