Description

LIFE PRO REA 120 VEGANCAPS

WHAT IS IT FOR?

REA is a combination of three ingredients that help reduce premenstrual symptoms. It is currently estimated that 30-40% of women have premenstrual syndrome. Of this percentage, approximately 20% see some of the symptoms affect their daily activities.

REA is indicated to treat both physical symptoms (chest pain, tiredness, fatigue, insomnia) and mood swings. By acting through different mechanisms, it is a supplement that helps the whole spectrum of symptoms in this phase of the menstrual cycle, as well as supporting other gynaecological problems.

VITEX AGNUS

Vitex agnus (also known as chasteberry or chasteberry) is a plant that has been used to treat menstrual disorders for centuries. This plant contains various compounds such as vitexin, agnusides or casticin which have a beneficial effect on the fluctuations that occur during the menstrual cycle. We now know that some premenstrual symptoms are due to high prolactin levels (hyperprolactinaemia).

Vitex helps to reduce prolactin levels, alleviating these symptoms (especially chest pain). In addition, some studies show that they have activity on dopamine (neurotransmitter) receptors and help regulate the ratio of luteinising hormone:follicle stimulating hormone (LH:FSH), acting on oestrogen and progesterone levels. In this way, the active compounds in vitex would not only act on the premenstrual level, but would also help with other gynaecological problems.

MAGNESIUM

Magnesium deficiency is one of the causes of premenstrual syndrome. It has been observed that the levels of magnesium in blood cells (erythrocytes) and cells of the immune system (leukocytes) are lower in women with premenstrual syndrome than in women without complaints.

On the other hand, we can also find alterations in magnesium metabolism in some cases of migraine or even in neuropsychiatric disorders. Therefore, magnesium supplementation can help to alleviate certain premenstrual symptoms as it influences muscle contraction and even the activity of some neurotransmitters such as serotonin.

Saffron (crocus sativus)

Crocus sativus, better known as saffron, contains flavonoids and other active compounds that have antibacterial, immunomodulatory, antioxidant and even antidepressant activity. As far as the menstrual cycle is concerned, it has been found to help improve mood due to its action on serotonin metabolism, and is one of the few supplements to show benefits for premenstrual dysphoric syndrome (PMDD), a severe mood disorder affecting 8% of women.

In addition, recently published reviews show benefits on pathologies such as Alzheimer's and cardiovascular pathologies, which opens the door to other benefits.

BENEFITS:

  • Reduces breast pain (mastalgia).
  • Improves mood
  • Reduces premenstrual symptoms
  • Aids rest
  • Reduces symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric syndrome.
  • Helps reduce pain
  • Improves the immune system
  • Potent antioxidant effect
  • Reduced cardiovascular risk

PRECAUTIONS:

If you are receiving any type of medication, consult your doctor before use.

If you are suffering from a diagnosed pathology, consult your doctor before use.

Due to the precautionary principle, it is recommended to avoid the consumption of this supplement in pregnant women.

WHAT DOSE SHOULD BE TAKEN?

Take 2 capsules at breakfast and 2 capsules at dinner.

LIFE PRO HEALTHY CALCIUM + VITAMIN D 120 VEGANCAPS

What is it for?

Calcium is an essential mineral with fundamental functions in our bodies, including skeletal, structural and regulatory functions. It is therefore a micronutrient that should never be deficient, as it is one of the most abundant minerals in the body, especially in the skeleton, where up to 99% of this mineral can accumulate.

Moreover, it is essential for metabolism and the maintenance of structure at the cellular level, and also functions as a second messenger, which means it is necessary for the secretion of neurotransmitters and neuromodulators by the nervous system, or for muscle contraction, among many other functions. In short, calcium is essential for various organ systems, notably the cardiovascular, skeletal, nervous and muscular systems.

In the case of vitamin D, this micronutrient is necessary for the correct absorption of calcium by the body. In other words, in situations of vitamin D deficiency, calcium cannot be absorbed optimally by the intestine and, therefore, the aforementioned functions could worsen.

Given that vitamin D is a micronutrient whose deficit is very frequent, as its main source is the sun and it is not always possible to take it in the right conditions (due to physical condition, climate, geographical location, etc.), administering it together with calcium will guarantee that the functions of calcium are fulfilled, and will provide extra functions typical of an adequate vitamin D status, such as well-being or improvement of the immune system.

In any case, and given that calcium can account for up to 2% of a person's body weight and is therefore relatively more fundamental than vitamin D, the joint intake of both micronutrients will have a very significant positive impact on bone level, in addition to all the additional benefits.

Calcium

On the other hand, the 500 mg of elemental calcium ensures a complementary dosage with the diet without altering cardioendothelial parameters, making it an ideal complement together with vitamin D.

Correct absorption of calcium and vitamin D will improve bone mineral density and reduce the risk of fractures and bone diseases such as osteoporosis and osteopenia and, at a metabolic level, vitamin D helps to improve insulin resistance, which reduces the risk of obesity or diabetes, as well as optimising the functioning of the immune system and improving mood.

On the other hand, at a sporting level, calcium is necessary for the muscle contraction process to take place correctly, and a deficient state of calcium in the blood, known as hypocalcaemia, can lead to tetany.

Who is this product recommended for?

As can be seen, this product can be recommended both for sportsmen and women and for people with various health problems such as osteoporosis and even to prevent and treat problems related to the post-menopausal stage and also those linked to premenstrual syndrome.

In the case of women suffering from premenstrual syndrome, it is common for a deficiency to appear, leading to a marked dysregulation which can alter various physiological processes.

In fact, several scientific studies have shown an inverse correlation between calcium and vitamin D intake and the effects of premenstrual syndrome. Thus, during the luteal phase in particular, a major nutritional problem could arise, aggravated by an incomplete diet.

Therefore, this product is recommended for various population groups, from athletes, people suffering from hypocalcaemia (as may occur in nephropathy or hypoparathyroidism, among others), women suffering from premenstrual syndrome, people at risk of bone disease (bedridden, elderly people, postmenopausal women, etc.), among others.

Benefits:

  • Improved bone health and reduced risk of osteoporosis and fractures.
  • Improved deficiency of important nutrients in premenstrual syndrome.
  • Reduced risk of premenstrual syndrome or menopausal problems.
  • Possible improvement in mood.
  • Optimises the function of the neuromuscular system, thus enabling the correct production of muscle contraction.

What dose to take?

The correct dosage is 2 capsules at 2 different times of the day, in order to consume a total of 4 capsules in the end.
